Roger Farebrother has taken out the 13th running of the annual South Pacific Open in its modern day format. Thanks to Club Marconi and particularly Jim Ruisi and all the boys from the Marconi Snooker Association/Club for their continued support for this event and their ongoing support of Billiards & Snooker in general. Their love and enthusiasm for the game keeps the game alive. As Jim always says, keeps the dream alive.

This year’s titles were again held at BLACKTOWN WORKERS CLUB. Roger Farebrother has defeated Alan McCarthy 4 frames to 1 in fine style to take another State Title.

This year’s Championships were again held at Club Marconi, on the 23rd & 24th of June. It’s a fantastic club and has one of the best snooker rooms in Sydney. Unfortunately there has been no live streaming these last two 6 red tournaments as Neville Moore has been recovering from a minor operation. 

This year’s NSW STATE 6 Red Minors was again held at Blacktown Workers Club. Blacktown is very keen to continue to host this event. Congratulations to Dennis Paul who has taken his first snooker title, defeating Alan McCarthy 5-2.

Terry Emmett has taken out this year’s NSW State Masters Snooker Title his first, congratulations Terry. Defeating Joe Minici 4-2 in the final. 

The 2017 NSW State Doubles were again held at Club Marconi. 14 teams turned up for a great day of snooker, and a state title on offer. Club Marconi is one of our major venues for billiards & snooker and the snooker club contribute more than a lot to our sport, particularly Jim Ruisi and Vic Sacco, their ongoing support is extremely valuable. 

Ryan Thomerson has taken out the 12th running of the annual South Pacific Open in its modern day format. Thanks to Club Marconi and particularly Jim Ruisi and all the boys from the Marconi Snooker Association/Club for their continua led support for this event and their ongoing support of Billiards & Snooker in general. 

This year’s Championships were again held at Club Marconi, on the 12th & 13th Aug, the club has fantastic facilities and one of the best Snooker Rooms in Sydney. Live streaming was done over the two days and the quality of the stream and the snooker was excellent.

This year’s State titles were again held at BLACKTOWN WORKERS CLUB. Vinnie Calabrese has defeated Brett Watson in the final to win his second State Snooker Championship.
