Junior Development
Snooker and Billiards NSW is in the early stages of rolling out the WPBSA 'White to Black' Development program. This an Australian Billiards & Snooker Council approved development program and all coaching instructors have achieved competency in the ABSC Level 1 Coaching Accreditation Scheme as well as undergoing Working With Children, NSW Police Checks and ASADA Level 1 & 2 Anti Doping Courses.
Our aim is to provide a safe, inclusive learning environment via a structured systematic coaching programme to students of the game of snooker to various levels of competence in line with their ability.
It is recommended that students begin at the introductory 'white' level and progress to the more advanced 'black' level where possible.
Snooker and Billiards NSW has received a substantial grant from the NSW Government in an effort to nurture and develop emerging Billiards and Snooker talent within NSW but to deliver this program our coaches must have a minimum of Level 1 ABSC Coaching Accreditation.
It is hoped that in the very near future this development will lead to consistent junior snooker & billiard events in NSW with the opportunity to provide our students with pathways to State, National and International competition.
If you are interested in participating in this program, whether as a student, coach, sponsor or media please do not hesitate to get in touch with our Junior Development Officer as soon as possible.
