NSW State Snooker Championship Results

This year’s titles were again held at BLACKTOWN WORKERS CLUB. Roger Farebrother has defeated Alan McCarthy 4 frames to 1 in fine style to take another State Title. Roger was recently inducted into the NSW Associations Hall of Fame and proves again what a magnificent player he is. Rogers potting, break building, tactics surely make him one of our best ever players. Congratulations Roger. Roger also had a list of breaks as long as your arm with 9 breaks over 40 during the tournament. A full list of results can be found at

Well done to Alan McCarthy for making the final, Alan made it through a final frame game against Nathan Karam and his incredible long potting kept him in control on many occasions.  Alan defeated Paul Balzer in the semis, Paul had good tournament with several good wins. Tyson Crinis had the high break of 104 and a couple of 70’s but unfortunately was defeated by Richard Peric 3-2 in the last 16. Billy Shum played extremely well to make the semis but Roger was just too strong. Special mention to Sam Delia who knockout our number 1 seed Joe Minici

The event attracted 67 entries and again was a huge program to get through, once again the players support was incredible. Also a big thank you to everyone that came to the club to watch.
