NSW 6 Red Minor Snooker Results

This years 6 red minors was again held at Bexley Rsl, congratulations to Michael Hough who took the title from David Liu.

Its the second year this event has been held. And a big thank you to the club for putting in $1000 towards this years tournament. 24 players entered compared to 15 last year, although last years tournament was put together at very short notice, thanks to Luke Hough.

Bexley is a 3 table club and rumour has it a 4th table will be going back in. Watch this space. So the format had to be suit the 3 table venue. And discussions were had on how to improve next years event.

The 24 players were split into 8 groups of 3 playing, best of 5 games, with the top player in the group progressing to the knockout stage on Sunday. There were a couple of new young players who entered with the our regular core of players and all the games were played in great spirit. Most of the group favorites got through with Paul Rameka and Yang Zhao playing well to qualify, its great to see the look on the  players faces when they know they have qualified.

Bexley provides a very relaxed layout and everyone enjoyed themselves.  The tables are open to the club and the general ambiance is a change from a dead silent room where you hear a pin drop.

Thank you to all the players for entering who continue to support the game,  thank you to Brett Watson for coming in early each day to prepare the tables beautifully. Thank you again to Stuart Tait who works tirelessly all day, along with pre tournament preparation.
