Hassan Kerde Takes Out 6 Red State Snooker Title

Hassan Kerde (Sydney) has taken out the 2012 Nsw State 6 red tournament beating Robert Elsley in the Final 5-3. Hassan also had the highest Break of 72 for the tournament.

One of the best matches was the Semi final between Robert Elsley (Newcastle) and Tyson Crinis (Illawarra). Rob led 3-2 with a 68 break in the best of seven and Tyson knocking in a 71 to level it. Tyson had the first chance but missed a relatively easy black to Allow Robert back in and earn a spot in the final.

Over the weekend there were many great breaks in a great quick action format. A special thanks to David Waller as he helped me throughout the weekend and also to our great referee Mr Frank Galanos.

I would like to thank the club patrons who gave up their tables for the weekend and came down to watch. I hope to see you at other events in the near future.

The venue as many of the players said is exceptional and the conditions were to the highest standard. Hopefully we can run other event at Penrith RSL in the future.

My final thanks goes to our sponsors Penrith RSL and sharpsnooker.com.au without your support the event wouldn’t have been run the way it was.

Please get along to our next event at Marconi on the 8th and 9th September 2012.
