Vasic and Emmett Defend Their 'Doubles' Title
/The 2014 White Elephant NSW Doubles was again held at Club Marconi. Club Marconi is one of our major venues for snooker and the snooker club contribute more than a lot to our sport, particularly Jim Ruisi and Vic Sacco, their ongoing support is extremely valuable .We would also like to thank the Mario Sanna family for their very generous sponsorship for this event.
If you like a game of snooker good food and great company Club Marconi is the place.
Nick Vasic and Terry Emmett defeated Alex Render and Hassan Kerde 5-4 in the final, to successfully defend their title. It was an entertaining open final which could have gone either way. Nick & Terry played some extremely good snooker all weekend and were well deserved winners.
We had 13 teams enter with some very strong pairings, and the standard of snooker was very good. The games were played over the two days with a best of seven frame formats, allowing for a more structured event. The players refereed their own games and all matched were played in very good spirit.
