Results of the 106th Annual General Meeting (2023)

The 106th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Snooker & Billiards NSW Inc. (SBNSW) was held virtually (via Mircrosoft Teams) on Monday 4th December 2023. This was the 3rd AGM conducted using solely this format and was once again successful. This no doubt contributed to the healthy number of attendees. 

We would like to take this opportunity to thank those members who attended the AGM and to now advise all members of the formal results of the AGM.

Special Resolution:

The proposed special resolution was accepted by the meeting. The Constitution will be amended accordingly and published in due course. Details of this special resolution can be found HERE    

Election of Directors:

Clause 11.2(a) of the Constitution provides for a maximum of seven (7) Directors to be elected annually and the following members were duly elected as Directors, in accordance with clause 12 of the Constitution:

  • Alex Render

  • David Waller

  • Carlie Tait

  • Greg Jenkins

  • Peter Tankard

  • David McMahon

  • Todd Hayward

In addition to the 7 elected directors, the Board may appoint up to 2 Appointed Directors. Members who believe they have the necessary skills and attributes to make a positive contribution as an Appointed Director with the SBNSW Board are urged to contact alex.render@bsansw.com to discuss the matter further.

Appointments:

The appointment of Peter Quinlivan as Public Officer was confirmed.

Patrons:

David Jackson & Don Stewart will continue as co-patrons of Snooker & Billiards NSW.

Life Members:

There were 2 nominations for Life membership received from David Jackson & Don Stewart this year. The Board confirmed their recommendation of support for the nominations of Glen Wilkinson and David Waller. In accordance with clause 4.17 of the Constitution, both Glen Wilkinson and David Waller were elected by the members present at the AGM.

The Board extends their congratulations and gratitude to both Glen & David for their outstanding acheivements and service to snooker and billiards in NSW over many years.
