The 105th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Snooker & Billiards NSW Inc. (SBNSW) was held virtually (via Mircrosoft Teams) on Thursday 24th November 2022. This was the 2nd AGM conducted using solely this format and was once again successful. This will no doubt continue to assist any geographical hindrance for members to attend future AGMs.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank those members who attended the AGM and to now advise all members of the formal results of the AGM.

Election of Directors:

Clause 11.2(a) of the Constitution provides for a maximum of seven (7) Directors to be elected annually and the following members were duly elected as Directors, in accordance with clause 12 of the Constitution:

David Waller
Greg Jenkins
Carlie Tait
Peter Tankard
Anjum Zahoor

Following the AGM there is currently one (1) Director position that remains unfilled, and this remaining position will be treated as a casual vacancy. Members who believe they have the necessary skills and attributes to make a positive contribution as a Director with the SBNSW Board in this vacant position are urged to contact alex.render@bsansw.com to discuss the matter further.

Appointments:

The appointment of Peter Quinlivan as Public Officer was confirmed

Life Member:

Andy De Haan was nominated for Life Membership by Peter Tankard, and the Board confirmed their recommendation of support. In accordance with clause 4.17 of the Constitution, Andy De Haan was elected by the members present at the AGM.

The Board extends their congratulations and gratitude to Andy De Haan for his outstanding service to snooker and billiards in NSW over many years.
